Catching Up

We had a great visit with my parents this last week and a half. It was wonderful to have them here and to share what is now our home. I want to post about their visit, but there are a million pictures to sort through, so I'm still working on it.

In fact, while I was downloading pictures yesterday, I heard some thumps and bumps from the toy room (spielzimmer) above me. K and E were both up there but there wasn't any crying, so I didn't think much about it. A bit later, K comes down and wants me to come up and look at the big mess they'd made. I said sure, once I finish with the pictures.

THEN...I went upstairs. Needless to say, when I saw what they'd done to the toyroom, I had to get the camera. (After I threatened them with losing some of their toys if they ever made such a big mess again.) And aren't there times you wish you could just put up a little sign that says "half an hour later" or "after such-and-such is over" and poof! whatever unpleasant thing that stands before you is completed--just like in the movies? Well, here it is...

What did the girls do to our bedroom? I'm sure they missed Nana and Grandpa so much they just went crazy, right? That was a whopper of a mess. It seems like clean up went well. Great! You also, Jen, seemed very calm for such a disaster. You laughed instead of getting angry. Way to go! Those piggy tails are adorable on Ellie. We miss you all so much. Love,

Wow! I have never experienced a colossal mess like that, but, then again, I only have one kiddo. Nobody was hurt, and they learned a valuable lesson~what you get out you have to put away. Maybe it will be a while until the next storm. :)
