That was Fast!

I'm humbled and excited to report that our house sold this weekend! We had four offers in the first two days and signed a contract last night after some negotiation. The closing date should give us plenty of time to work out the details and prevent us from having to pay our existing mortgage when we all head down to Ft. Belovoir for the month prior to our departure. We also received word on Friday that a heavily prayed-for program to help military families is up and running and should help us recoup the majority of our losses on the house. It will be a while before we see any funds, but the knowledge that they should be coming is a great stress reliever.

Kate was very excited too and couldn't wait to take down the "for sale" sign.

Ellie also got a visit from her Grandpa this weekend. He was in town on a business trip and the rest of the family was really jealous.

Grandpa spent a fair part of the weekend crammed into our increasing cramped Ford Focus while we evacuated the house so throngs of people could look through it.

Kate and Grandpa both agreed that they were each more fun to play with than Ellie.

It's lunch time here at the Luminati house now, so I've got to go, but we wanted to say thank for all the prayers. God has been very good to us this week ... blessing us beyond our expectations.

Congratulations on selling your house so quickly! Hopefully you got a reasonable deal, considering the market right now. I am glad that you are able to get some money to help with the losses, that's awesome! And Jen, you look so good.

What a beautiful sign, UNDER CONTACT. Congratulations. Eph. 3:20 comes to mind, "He who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think ...." What a God! Just to think, a new beautiful baby born on Tuesday and a house sold on Saturday. That's not a bad week! And the timing is perfect. God is so good. The two Luminati girls are beautiful (and the parents as well!) Love, Nana and yes we're all jealous of Tom's getting to be there with you!

Hello to a beautiful family of 4! We are just back from our weekend of camping and LOVE the photo of your family. Jen, you look fabulous and Jon, you look so proud and pleased with your sweet family. We are beyond words with the week and the blessing it was. A beautiful, healthy new baby! And, to sell your home so quickly was amazing. God certainly blessed you. Now you can relax and not do the "house for sale" routine every day! What beautiful little girls and didn't Grampa have a wonderful time! Pops says, those Luminati girls sure time things to land right in the middle of excitement! Buckets of love + gratefulness...Gram and Pops
